Advanced Supervision Skills
This workshop provides participants with a framework to establish an effective and durable supervision/clinical education culture within health and human service orientated organisations.
It runs for 3-days and is designed for team leaders, line managers, coordinators, practice teachers and others with supervisory responsibilities.
Participants are introduced to a framework and model for understanding and practicing supervision. In addition, the course provides opportunities to discuss, practice and learn about feedback, emotional literacy, cultural proficiency and critical reflexivity in relation to supervision. The course uses work issues currently being experienced by the participants for them to practice their skills.
The course is multi-agency and multi-disciplinary affording participants the opportunity to learn alongside others from the helping professions.

Intermediate Supervision Skills
This workshop provides participants with a framework to establish an effective and durable supervision/clinical education culture within health and human service orientated organisations. It is generally presented in-house to larger organisations seeking to establish a consistent approach with their agency
It runs for 2-days and is designed for team leaders, line managers, coordinators, practice teachers and others with supervisory responsibilities.
Participants are introduced to a framework and model for understanding and practicing supervision. In effect it is an abridged version of the advanced course with slightly less content and reduced practice opportunities.
The course is available as multi-agency and multi-disciplinary or in-house although in such instances we recommend the course retains the multi-disciplinary aspect.

Introduction to Supervision Skills
This workshop provides participants with a framework to establish an effective and durable supervision/clinical education culture within health and human service orientated organisations. It is a beginning level course with basic theoretical input and limited pratice opportunities.
It runs for 1-day and is designed for workers new to supervisory roles with staff or students.
Participants are introduced to a framework for understanding and practicing supervision. In effect it is an abridged version of the intermedite course with slightly less content and reduced practice opportunities.
The course is available as multi-agency and multi-disciplinary or in-house although in such instances we recommend the course retains the multi-disciplinary aspect.

We are pleased to announce another opportunity for people to register for an on-line course.
The course will run for 6 hrs spread over 2x3hr sessions with the expectation that a supervision session will be undertaken in the week between the sessions. You can bring a small group together in your workplace or log on as an individual but we will be limiting numbers so that we can address the particular needs of people attending.
It is designed for team leaders, line managers, coordinators, practice teachers and others with supervisory responsibilities. It provides a framework for understanding and practicing supervision, guidelines for giving feedback, consideration of adult learning theory and wellbeing as they pertain to supervision.
The course uses work issues currently being experienced by the participants for them to practice their skills and to reflect on the session they undertook between the 2 sessions.
Places will be offered on a first come first served basis.

Price
All prices are inclusive of GST.
First and second release prices are limited and are offered on a first come first served basis. Any pre-approved discount will be calculated on the first release price.
Cancellations, postponements, and refunds initiated by an individual or agency
- 5% Administration fee for cancellations after registration
- 10% Administration fee for cancellations after payment by EFT
- 12.5% Administration fee for cancellations after payment by PayPal
- 5% Administration fee for change of name or postponement to a later course after invoice has been sent
No refunds will be made for cancellations or postponements in the 7-days prior to course you are registered for.
Cancellations or postponements initiated by Stara Learning & Development
In the event of Stara postponing or cancelling a course you will be offered a full refund or a 10% reduction on the price of the next course.
Relationship with employers
Stara Learning and Development will inform agencies of participant absences .
Facilitators will not report back to agencies on individual participants without that participants permission and attendance at any meeting.
Certificates of Attendance
Certificates of Attendance are issued to all participants who attend all sessions and complete the practice elements of the course. In circumstances where people miss significant elements of the course, we will offer a letter stating what hours were attended
