Whats it about?
Many people working or volunteering in the helping professions are called upon to run small training sessions or to make presentations to a diverse range of groups, examples include presentations to management committee, funding groups or new staff undertaking induction both those new to the workplace or those needing details of new policies or procedures.
Working in Learning & Development for over 30 years builds up a wealth of expertise but every new group throws up new challenges. This 1-day workshop is designed so that you can work alongside Neil to learn some of the tips and tricks of the trade. The day will be designed around the needs of the people attending and be a healthy mixture of theory and practice. Examples of issues that people might wish to explore include, facilitating successful role-plays, dealing with resistance in the room, injecting creative experiences to increase energy levels and designing powerpoint that dont sent people to sleep

The aim of this programme is to further cultivate a proficient manner and durable skill set when working with groups in the training room or when presenting material.
By the end of the workshop participants will:
Identifying issues in training and presentation where they would like to develop skills
Have an understanding of group dynamics
Explore and analyse case examples
Develop and practice strategies to avoid problems occurring training and presentations
Develop an action plan for future situations
