ABOUT THIS COURSE
This 1-day course is designed for people who are required to facilitate groups as part of their job. It will focus on understanding the reluctant and resistant group members and explore strategies to actively engage them in the process. The course will cover the importance of setting up the group, identifying roles played in groups and methods facilitators can use to have a positive impact on the dynamics.

Relationship with employers
Stara Learning and Development will inform agencies of participant absences
Facilitators will not report back to agencies on individual participants without that participants permission and attendance at any meeting
Certificates of Attendance
Certificates of Attendance are issued to all participants who attend all sessions and complete the practice elements of the course. In circumstances where people miss significant elements of the course, we will offer a letter stating what hours were attended.
The aim of this programme is to increase confidence further develop the individuals facilitation skills.
By the conclusion of this workshop participants will:
Understand the value of working from a strengths perspective
Understand group processes;
Identify the dynamics of a group through observation;
Recognise the relationship between content and process in groups;
Develop facilitation and valued group member skills;
Develop tips and tricks in facilitating groups.
There are no pre-requisites for this course, however it is most helpful for people who are in positions where they manage staff or have responsibility for a student.
